ELC/GRUCC Summer Camp Registration 2026

Welcome!

Thank you for registering your child(ren) for summer camp with Evangelical Lutheran Church and/or Grace UCC in Frederick, Maryland. Our joint camps are offered for children age 4 through grade 6 (in the fall of 2026).

ELC is offering Illumination Station VBS on June 29 - July 2 from 9am-12pm &
Grace UCC is offering MADD Camp on June 29 - July 2 from 12-4pm!

Illumination Station VBS will begin and end in Trunk Hall behind our sanctuary at 31 East Church Street. MADD Camp will begin and end at Grace UCC on 2nd Street. Children may attend one or both camps. If you attend both, you will drop your child off at ELC and pick them up at Grace UCC. The children will walk as a group across the street for lunch at Grace followed by camp. Families will provide lunch(free lunch available upon request below-- simply write "lunch" under Helpful Information).

**Camp will fill up! We base our attendance on the number of volunteers we get so please register early and consider helping for a day.**

At Illumination Station VBS: Each day your children will explore who Jesus is and why we still share his teachings today while having fun with games, crafts, and more!

At MADD Camp: MADD Camp is a fun and creative experience where kids are immersed each day in Music, Art, Dance, and Drama. Through hands-on activities and guided exploration, they’ll learn to express themselves, build confidence, and discover the joy of the arts in a supportive, energetic environment.

If you have a youth in grades 6-12 who wishes to volunteer, please email Sister Meghan or Pastor Chance. We are in need of adult helpers as well (parents, grandparents, etc!). Come for a day or three, and join the fun! Volunteers do not have to stay the full day!

Behavior Covenant

At ELC and GRUCC, we work diligently to provide a fun and safe environment for all. Our staff and volunteers are trained in both content and child protection best practice as our respect for the families participating in VBS. In a spirit of mutual respect and trust, we ask that all participants and their families treat our staff and volunteers with respect and understand that if a circumstance occurs which impacts the safety and/or experience of the staff, volunteers, or participants that there may be situations when the above named child(ren) need a parent/guardian present or removal from the program at the discretion of the staff.

A Few Last Things...

ELC and GRUCC and it's staff and volunteers are not responsible for the loss of any personal items. Please check that the participants have their items each day upon dismissal. Please note that electronics including cell phones, tablets, laptops, and other devices are not permitted unless you have received explicit permission from the director.

For VBS at ELC drop-off is from 9:00-9:15am and pick-up is from 11:45am-12:00pm. For MADD Camp at GRUCC, drop-off is between 12-12:15pm and pickup between 2:45-4:00pm. Only the adults listed above will be permitted to pick up the child unless the director is notified. If you are running late, please notify the director immediately. (If your child is attending both camps, you DO NOT need to take them to GRUCC, they will be escorted across the street by program staff and volunteers).

Each year it becomes more difficult to continue offering this amazing camp for children in the community. We have volunteer opportunities for anyone age 12+ but especially need adults who are willing to come for 1, 2, 3 or all 4 days.
